Led by our knowledgeable in-house guide, the tour offers fascinating insights into the history and design of this remarkable estate. Subject to availability, the experience may also include a visit to the nearby ‘No. 5’ villa—a true architectural gem.

Garden Tour Details

Timings:

  • Daily at 11:00am | 2:00pm | 3:00pm
  • Tour duration is approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes

Admission Rates:

  • Foreign: USD 20 (optional add-on of USD 10 to visit No. 5 Lunuganga)
  • Resident: LKR 3,500 (optional add-on of LKR 750 to visit No. 5 Lunuganga)
  • Local Students: LKR 750
  • Children under 7 and In-house Guests: Complimentary
  • Payment Methods: Cash, credit, or debit card (USD or LKR).

Important:

  • Tours start promptly as scheduled to ensure a seamless experience for all visitors. Guests will not be allowed to join mid-tour.
  • For the privacy of our in-house guests, a visit to Lunuganga’s main house is not included in the tour.
  • A tour of No. 5 Lunuganga will be subject to availability on the day.
  • Tours conducted by third-party guides are not permitted.
  • Personal photography is allowed without the use of flash or tripods in outdoor spaces.

Dine at The Garden Café

The Garden Café is a tranquil spot to relax before or after your tour. Located under the Sandella, near the entrance, the café offers a selection of fresh paninis, salads, and light bites, alongside refreshing drinks such as king coconut water, hot coffee, cold beers, and Geoffrey Bawa’s favourite – gin and tonic!

Opening Hours: 10:00am – 5:00pm

  • The Garden Café is exclusively for garden tour visitors and in-house guests only.
  • Lunuganga’s main restaurant is reserved exclusively for in-house guests.
