At Wallawwa, our sustainability projects focus on uplifting communities through meaningful engagement and service initiatives
This includes career days, supporting orphanages, and women in local communities through soft skill workshops. We are also proud to share that our garden is the main source for fresh vegetables, fruit and herbs which feature on our menu.
Restoration & Transformation
Wallawwa was stylishly restored from a centuries-old manor house.
Homegrown & Plastic-free
We grow most of our vegetables and buy meat and seafood from the local markets.
Supporting our Community
We support the communities in which we are based through various community service projects.
Like each of our sister properties, Wallawwa practises a zero plastic approach, on-site composting and recycling initiatives.
Our partnership with Travelife (an internationally recognised sustainability certification programme) enables us to monitor our resources and identify challenges across waste management, water and energy consumption, as well as in responsible procurement and social and cultural management. We’re proud to have been awarded the Travelife Gold Certificate for accommodation sustainability at each of our hotels.
