Teardrop Hotels CARE (Creating A Rewarding Experience) is the charitable foundation set up to give back to the communities we work in. In each of the projects below, our objective is to create long-term value for our people, community, environment and business.
Teardrop Hotels has committed to being the lead sponsor of the 'Volunteers to Assist Children with Disabilities' (VACD) centre opening in the hill country town of Welimada.
The Tea Leaf Trust was founded in 2007, shortly after Tim & Yasmeen visited Sri Lanka on their honeymoon, to empower impoverished young people from the tea estates through education, employment and ethnic cohesion.
This initiative supports women residing in and around our properties by increasing their revenue streams, giving them more financial independence and freedom to support their families. We believe empowered women are the key to transforming communities.
We’re actively documenting waste collection and disposal monthly across each of our properties.
We work with a group of 7-9 graders from the Dunkeld Upper Division, educating them on sustainability, wildlife conservation, reforestation, and biodiversity.
